Chief Growth & Strategy Officer Positions IncludeHealth for Expansion

”Santo’s deep understanding of the challenges facing providers and payers today as they launch innovative digital health strategies for patients will be a true asset to IncludeHealth.”

Thomas Santo, MD, has joined leading musculoskeletal digital health company, IncludeHealth, Inc. as its Chief Growth & Strategy Officer.

Santo joins the leadership team as IncludeHealth launches its MSK-OSTM platform, which empowers providers and payers to deliver remote and on-site musculoskeletal care with leading-edge body-tracking technologies and HIPAA-compliant cloud software.

“I’m excited to join at this exciting moment when IncludeHealth is poised for growth,” remarks Santo. “Together we are driven to positively transform clinical outcomes and experience of patients struggling with MSK conditions—working directly with providers to build a seamless, integrated model of in-person and virtual care. IncludeHealth is prioritizing a model that meets patients where they are, while remaining connected to their primary doctors. We believe this will be the new model for digital MSK care.”

Santo emphasized that IncludeHealth understands that chronic condition management requires a frictionless experience for patients and providers, cost-effective treatments and quantifiable results -- all of which is delivered by Include’s patient-centered design and technology.

“IncludeHealth is positioned to have a significant impact in this space thanks to a superior product built and deployed alongside heavy-hitting partners,” says Santo. “Our platform and products, combined with a unique partnership approach, create a vision with remarkable potential impact. I am excited to join the Include team to bring that vision to life for patients.”

Prior to joining IncludeHealth, Santo was an Associate Partner in McKinsey & Co.’s Healthcare Systems and Services practice since 2014, where he worked closely with both health systems and payers in the design, execution, and implementation of innovative care delivery strategies, including digital, at-home, and at-risk models. In 2020, he launched McKinsey’s Clinical Center of Excellence to enhance the way global clinical expertise is leveraged to solve increasingly complex client problems in healthcare. Prior to McKinsey, Santo trained in Radiology at Montefiore Health System in New York. He brings to IncludeHealth a deep understanding of the seismic shift in healthcare sparked by increased demands and opportunities in digital health.

Santo will lead IncludeHealth’s growth and talent strategy—and work directly with payers and providers to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that generate value and improve clinical outcomes for MSK patients.

IncludeHealth’s leadership team looks forward to Santo’s contributions as the company expands its platform’s reach. IncludeHealth Founder and CEO Ryan Eder remarked that “Santo’s deep understanding of the challenges facing providers and payers today as they launch innovative digital health strategies to their patients will be a true asset to IncludeHealth.”
